Why Use a Soap Scoop?
The soap tub is for soap storage.
The lather bowl is for lathering.
Build lather where it belongs.
Keep soaps and tubs clean and dry.
Why not just use a spoon?
You can, plenty of shavers do. The SR1 was made for shavers who want a shaving-specific tool instead of a repurposed object.
A spoon, guitar pick, cosmetic spatula, or other improvised tool can all move soap. The SR1 was designed specifically for the job.
I face lather. Why do I need this?
You probably don't. The SR1 is for bowl latherers who want to remove only the soap they need and leave the rest of the tub clean and dry.
Scoop out what you need, press it into your bowl, and build your lather there.
Less water and residue left in the tub. Less mess under the lid. Less softened soap sitting in the container.
Use the soap tub for storage, and not as a lather bowl.
