Design Goals - Shaving Refined

Design Goals of the Soap Spoon SR

Wet shavers have been making do with whatever we can find: Plastic spatulas, spoons for espresso and caviar, guitar picks, limited artisan one-offs. They work… sort of. At best, they were never designed for how we actually use shaving soaps. At worst, they look like random utensils left in the bathroom.

Soap Spoon SR was built with these specific goals:

Design for wet shavers

Purpose-built for wet shaving, not borrowed from the kitchen or presented as a novelty. Every surface is there for a reason.

Soaps stay clean, dry, and properly maintained

Keep containers clean by moving just the amount of soap needed into a lather bowl. Avoid lather loading from the tub, which builds residue in the container, complicates drying, and shortens the life of the soap we've spent so much time and money collecting.

Strength and durability

Smear, cut, peel, and carve into croaps, soaps, pucks and bars. No worries about water damage, flex, bending, or snapping.

It looks great

It lives with our shaving gear. Next to our beautiful razors, brushes and stands, it's elegant.
